Welcome to the Redbridge Cycling Club

Congratulations to Chris Hutchinson.
We have a NATIONAL CHAMPION in the Redbridge.
Chris is now the Tricycle Association 100 Champion, he won the event in 5hrs 26mins 32secs. He was also first on handicap.
20th July, Congratulations to Steve Smith on his P.B in the ECCA 10 on the E34/10 course 22′ 24″, Trevor Benson 27′ 30″, best time since 2010 after my heart problems.


Look no further! The Redbridge Cycling Club has been based in this area since 1972 and  we welcome new members. We are now based and are working in partnership with Redbridge Cycling Centre at Hog Hill in Hainault.

Monday 28th July 2014. Redbridge Cycle Centre 6.30 pm – 8.00pm  (NOTE change of time due to staffing shortages at the Cycling centre) .   Preceded by group riding on the cycle circuit..

Tuesday 5th August.  Club Social at North Weald Village Hall, 8.30pm onwards.

Ladies only ride. Date to be announced.

GROUP RIDING, Road circuit or Mountain Bike Circuit – your choice.  Monday 18.30 – 19.45. Redbridge Cycling Centre Circuit. Mondays 114th, 28th July and 11th Aug.
RAtherton2We have weekly Sunday Social Rides all year and a 40 mile Saturday morning Training ride. We have a comprehensive Club Time Trial programme providing events from early March to mid-October at varying distances. There is also a Mountain Bike Ride through Epping Forest every Saturday morning.

The Club promotes Social events and an Annual Dinner, Dance and Prize Presentations in February. Membership details can be found HERE!  

Sunday August 31st. Club Championship 25 Course E9/25 (Start west of Writtle on A1060, B184 turn just short of Dunmow) and return to Writtle.  First rider off 8.00 am. Entries to Tom Moore, organiser.

40 Km Training Ride.  Depart 09.30 Redbridge Cycling Centre.
Sunday 3rd August 2014. Meet 8.00 am for 8.15 am departure at Redbridge Cycling Centre. 
Social Ride:  Silver ride:  All-day ride to Great Bardfield (The Blue Egg Cafe, 1 mile south of Great Bardfield on the Great Saling Road). Approximate distance 80 miles. Options to turn-off for early return home.
Bronze ride.  North Weald Station.  Approximate distance 35 miles.
Alternative Bronze Ride.  Afternoon Tour of the River Pant Valley. A 25 mile circular tour starting and finishing at the Blue Egg Cafe, Great Bardfield, taking in Finchingfield, Beazely End, Shalford and Great Bardfield.  Start Blue Egg Cafe CM7 4PY. 2.00 pm.  Cars can be parked outside the Blue Egg.
Non-stop ride (Gold riders) 55 miles.  Return Redbridge Cycling Centre 12.30 – 12.45 pm.
Saturday Morning Mountain Bike Rides in Epping Forest
Meet at the north end of Buckhurst Hill High Street (A121) adjacent the cricket pitch, which if travelling north towards Loughton is on your left after passing the Hawsted turning and immediately before the road begins to drop down a fairly steep hill and two 40mph sign posts. (post code IG9 5SS). Parking available.
Leave 9.00am sharp. 2 – 2 1/2 hours Steady riding mainly on bridle paths and tracks. No ‘mad downhilling’. All riders are expected to wear hard shell helmets.
