About Redbridge Cycling Club
Redbridge Cycling Club (RCC) has been part of the local cycling community since 1972 and continues to welcome new members. Based at Redbridge Cycling Centre (Hog Hill) in Hainault, we work in partnership with the centre and have members from across East London and Essex. We offer a wide range of cycling activities to suit different interests and abilities, including weekly club rides, training rides and events organised throughout the year.
Although many of our members enjoy road cycling, we also make use of the Redbridge Cycling Centre circuit and organise gravel and mountain biking rides. If there's an activity or type of ride we don't currently offer, members are always welcome to suggest it, and someone will usually be happy to help organise it.
Throughout its history, Redbridge Cycling Club has continued to thrive, providing members with opportunities to participate in a wide range of cycling activities, including:
-
Sunday club rides
-
Gravel and mountain biking
-
Club and open time trials
-
Track, road and circuit racing
-
Regular weekly social and training rides
-
Social events and gatherings
These activities have helped the club maintain a diverse and active membership, welcoming cyclists with different interests and abilities.
Since its formation, Redbridge Cycling Club has contributed to the wider cycling community, with members serving as officials and committee representatives for several cycling organisations, including:
-
Eastern Counties Cycling Association (ECCA)
-
Cycling Time Trials (CTT), formerly the Road Time Trials Council (RTTC) – London East
-
British Cycling, formerly the British Cycling Federation (BCF)
-
Fellowship of London East Cyclists
Through its racing activities, social events, volunteer contributions and commitment to cycling, Redbridge Cycling Club has maintained a proud tradition dating back to its formation in 1972.
